We support projects that drive significant change and advance our understanding and mitigation of light pollution

The STARS4ALL Foundation is a general-interest foundation, as a mechanism to provide sustainability to the main results obtained in the context of the H2020 EU project STARS4ALL, especially in relation to the production and maintenance of the TESS photometer network and the provision of open data from such network to researchers and civil society organisations. Furthermore, the STARS4ALL Foundation organizes and participates often in outreach events to encourage the protection of night skies and provide information about light pollution and its negative effects.

Information

Light-pollution and its consequences are still poorly understood. When clear information is gathered, changes can happen.

Become scientists

Get involved in Stars4All initiatives and help scientists to study light-pollution. Put on your gloves and gather data!

Citizens

We provide tools and support citizen-led initiatives to understand how to improve lighting. Stars4All is your project, have a say in light-pollution!

Spread the word

Create awareness in your community about the problems of light pollution. We provide flyers that recommend guidelines for sustainable outdoor lighting.

Lines of action

After years of work and fight against light pollution, we believe that by acting along these lines we can make a difference. The Stars4all Foundation supports your project if it aligns with:

Measurement
Education & Awareness
Policy

We are an ESA registered entity

This means that the Stars4all Foundation is qualified to apply for any call.

La Noche Europea

Last August, the Stars4all Foundation celebrated the Night of Europe in the Picos de Europa National Park, under one of the darkest and most beautiful skies on the continent. The event brought together scientists, local authorities, and residents to highlight the importance of protecting our dark skies as a source of knowledge, identity, and sustainable development.

Speakers included Antonia Varela (Starlight Foundation), Noemí Pinilla Alonso (James Webb Space Telescope), and Alejandro Sánchez de Miguel (Stars4all Foundation), who they shared inspiring messages about astrotourism, scientific literacy, and rural sustainability — reminding us that even when the land burns, the stars do not.

Join us for the next Night of Europe on August 12, 2026
